The Guild was formed in 1888 and exists to encourage all musicians within the Church to attain the highest standards of music in the worship of Almighty God. Membership is open to anyone interested in church music and whilst the majority of members live in the UK the Guild has members living in all parts of the world.

There is a separate branch of The Guild in Australia.

Zoom Events

The Guild of Church Musicians is holding our AGM on Zoom. This event is free. To register for your place please go to our events page or click on the button below.

Guild Publications

Guild Publications is currently establishing a varied catalogue of articles on church music and liturgy and of original compositions and editions. This new venture is under the general editorship of Roger Wilkes and Hugh Benham. A list of titles for 2021 is now available.

Membership

We are now able to offer immediate membership when purchasing online. There are two types of membership - Digital £25.00 and Print £35.00. For Digital you will receive digital copies via email of our Laudate magazine, for Print you will continue to receive printed copies of the magazine by post.

Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st.

Payment is via PayPal, Credit/Debit Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Bank Transfer.
